Rufus Wainright's "Hallelujah" - Chromatik's Tune of the Day

“Hallelujah” has gone through many incarnations, but obviously the one featured on the Shrek soundtrack is the most important. Few scenes in cinema are as touching and emotionally raw as Fiona doubting her marriage to Lord Farquaad before he interrupts their wedding. But seriously, no matter what scene this song gets played in or what artist covers it, you’re bound to experience some feelings. This is the Pillsbury refrigerated cookies of music, in that no one can ruin this song. Give it a try and Chromatik and brace yourself for a good cry.
