Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard" Sheet Music on Chromatik

Combining his saccharine voice with Samba-inspired percussion, Paul Simon made an exuberant depiction of juvenile with his 1972 single "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard."  Sixteen years after the song's release, Paul Simon produced a video for the track on his greatest hits compilation that featured unlikely cameos from rappers such as Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie. Simon’s solo career has been well-known for mashing together diverse and seemingly disparate genres to create new sounds in pop music, all of which was made apparent on this first breakout single.
